Travis
Travis combines strategic leadership with hands-on experience at Gardner Construction. He began his career on a carpentry crew before he could drive, later graduating from Dartmouth College as a varsity lightweight rower and Outdoor Club member. Travis holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, where he was recognized as a Shermet Scholar, Genovese Fellow, and Vice President of the Raven Honor Society. He is also the founder of Bring It RVA, a nonprofit focused on community service and early morning workouts. On Friday mornings, you'll find him leading workouts in Byrd Park, rain or shine.

Phil
Phil has been building and restoring classic homes in Richmond since 1973. A graduate of the College of William and Mary with a degree in Business Administration, Phil brings decades of craftsmanship and field wisdom to every project. He is passionate about historic details, mentoring the next generation, and enjoys baseball, Bikram yoga, and spending time with his nine grandchildren.

Caleb
Caleb is a free-spirited craftsman who leads Gardner Construction’s Construction Practice. With over a decade at the company, he manages subcontractors, mentors new carpenters, and collaborates with clients on finish details and mockups. Caleb brings heart, hustle, and a deep love of the trade to every job. Outside of work, he enjoys playing bluegrass and exploring Richmond’s parks with his wife and son.

Alberto
With over 15 years at Gardner Construction, Alberto is a cornerstone of the service team. Renowned for his versatility, he manages the plaster, drywall, paint, and tile practices, and serves as Project Lead for service projects. Alberto is the go-to expert for complex finishes and responsive service work. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children.

Patrick
Patrick rejoined Gardner in 2024 after working in industrial safety sales. He brings a diverse skill set, including carpentry and job site safety, and enjoys the variety of projects and collaborative environment. Outside of work, Patrick practices Brazilian jiujitsu, enjoys fly fishing, weight lifting, gardening, and spending time outdoors with his wife and son in Powhatan.

Dylan
Dylan started his carpentry career at 18 and later graduated from VCU’s Business School. After gaining experience in software and real estate, he returned to his passion for construction. Dylan thrives on creative problem-solving and enjoys collaborating with tradespeople and homeowners. In his free time, he spends time with his wife and daughter, plays guitar, and works on home renovations.

Brenten
Brenten thrives in Gardner Construction’s culture-first environment, excelling in craftsmanship and always seeking to refine his skills. His attention to detail and dedication make him a valued team member. Outside of work, Brenten enjoys working on cars, exploring mechanics, and playing video games, always eager to learn and grow.

Antonio
Affectionately known as “Big Papi” on the team, Antonio brings a craftsman’s touch to every project, from detailed interior trim and historic demolition to flawless level-five drywall prep for custom plaster finishes. A perfectionist with a calm, confident presence, Antonio is as reliable as he is skilled. In his free time, he enjoys relaxing with friends and spending time outdoors.

Jack
Jack graduated from George Mason University in 2017 with a degree in Organizational Psychology and played varsity volleyball. He spent a season playing professionally in Finland and later coached collegiate volleyball in New Jersey for five years. After earning his MBA at VCU and working in software and real estate, Jack now manages operations, estimating, and project coordination at Gardner Construction. He enjoys gardening with his wife, Marisa, and their black lab, Sammie.

Cameron
Cameron attended Ferrum College, majoring in Business Administration with a management focus. He began his career in logistics before transitioning to construction, where he enjoys constant learning and skill development. Outside of work, Cameron enjoys working out, playing basketball, making music, and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle
Originally from Virginia Beach and an alum of Old Dominion University, Michelle moved to Richmond in 2020. She has served as Gardner’s Finance Manager since January 2024 and is the company’s only full-time remote employee, enjoying flexible hours and near-constant availability. Outside of work, she is a mom of two daughters and a German Shepherd owner. She recently purchased a home on six acres, where she enjoys gardening, relaxing outdoors, and anticipates adding more farm animals. Her hobbies include visiting farmers markets, antiquing, and traveling, with memorable trips across the U.S., Canada, and Italy.

Adrian
Adrian has dedicated over half his life to the construction industry, driven by a passion for creating beautiful work and bringing projects to life. He approaches each day as an opportunity to improve and learn something new. Outside of work, Adrian enjoys fishing, spending time outdoors with friends and family, and traveling whenever he can.

Antonio
Tony brings a positive attitude and tireless work ethic to every project. Fluent in both Spanish and English, he plays a key role in keeping communication smooth across teams and with clients. Tony is always willing to put in extra effort to ensure expectations are exceeded. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer and spending time with friends.

Alfonso
Alfonso is the teammate every jobsite needs—upbeat, punctual, and always ready to lend a hand. A skilled carpenter with a strong work ethic, he is known for his can-do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile, whether staying late or jumping in wherever needed. Off the clock, Alfonso enjoys lifting at the gym and fitting in cardio sessions.

Tom
Tom joins Gardner Construction as a summer intern while pursuing his degree in Architecture at the University of Arizona. He has quickly mastered detailed miters and copes that typically take months to learn, and his hands-on talent, curiosity, and can-do attitude have made him an integral part of the team. Outside of work, Tom enjoys playing soccer with friends and crafting custom tables and bowls in his home shop.
